Report abuse
Version 1.0 · Last updated 15 September 2026
How to report abusive content or behavior.
1. When to use this
Use this process to report a website, app or account on Firelent that you believe is illegal or violates our platform rules — phishing, impersonation, fraud, harassment, malware, and anything else the rules cover. You do not need a Firelent account to report. For copyright, use the dedicated process on the DMCA page; for security vulnerabilities, use Report security concerns.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service.
2. How to report
Email abuse@firelent.com — our single point of contact for abuse reports from users and authorities under Articles 11 and 12 of the EU Digital Services Act. We accept reports in English and German. A useful report contains:
- the exact URL(s) of the content or project — precise enough for us to find exactly what you mean;
- why you consider it illegal or rule-breaking — for legal reports, name the law or right involved if you can;
- screenshots or other evidence, if you have them;
- a statement that you are reporting in good faith and that your report is accurate; and
- your name and email so we can follow up — optional, except for rights-based claims, which we cannot process anonymously.
3. What happens next
- Confirmation. You receive an acknowledgment that we got the report.
- Review. A person reviews it against the law and our rules — in urgent categories (phishing, active fraud, CSAM) immediately and around the clock; otherwise promptly in order of severity.
- Decision with reasons. If we act, the publisher is told what was removed and why, and — where you provided contact details — you are told the outcome of your report.
- Appeal. Both sides can contest a decision by replying; contested decisions are re-reviewed by a human who was not involved in the original call.
4. Special categories
- Child sexual abuse materialis removed immediately, evidence is preserved, and the case is reported to the competent authorities. Do not download or redistribute such material to “document” it — report the URL.
- Authorities can use the same contact for orders and requests under the DSA; we answer in English or German and respond as the applicable law requires.
- Bad-faith reporting — knowingly false or automated mass-reports — leads to deprioritization and, for account holders, enforcement under our terms.
